Fleet Foxes - White Winter Hymnal
I really hope the Fleet Foxes do actually make it big. They're tipped for big things, certainly. Starting with an a capella motif (which is A Good Thing - see SotD 09/10/2008), they develop 'White Winter Hymnal' into a jaunty little folk number, which uses simple harmony to rather lovely effect. The twangy guitar seems to work, too.
The vid is also bloody lovely.
Nuff said. Here's to Fleet Foxes in 2009.
