The Mae Shi - Run To Your Grave
It's all very well hiring in expensive directors to interpret your song in an abstract and artistic fashion, but you get the feeling some bands are just "Whoah, like, let's make our own video for once, we can have some real fun." None of that take/retake, earnest looking, slowed-down, artistic nonsense. Sure enough, the Mae Shi directed this video themselves, and the result is chaos. It's reasonably clever in the way it's all timed, but not good enough to leave you stunned and amazed. Fair enough though, it probably cost 50 quid and the actors, whoever they were, got to pretend they were in the Mae Shi for the day.
In fact, I'd want them to play it exactly like this if I was to see them live.
